This sled excites!
This sled will surprise not just the mid-distance mushers, but also the longdistanse enthusiasts.

Goal of the Alpi-Rod development over the past 2 years has been to produce a multidiscipline sled for mushers who give anything to be the fastest across the finish line. A racing machine for the uncompromising.

This is exactly what BEWE now has produced with the Alpi-Rod. It has an aggressive drive, with precision and very direct steering. A different type of runner attachment, a higher point of attachment for the gangline, a central position of the driver on the 8-foot aluminium runners and other details makes this sled extremely manoeuvrable and light.

The sturdily constructed handlebar has various redesigned details. As with previous models, the handrails of the Alpi-Rod are held in place with cable lines, which enables the sled to be folded for easy transport.
Optically the sled looks a little like the Alpi S, however the 3kg light caboose clearly defines this sled as a long distance machine!

The handlebar now comes with a bound central tube in black. In addition, the sled has a near indestructible and completely newly developed brake. The brake pad has a spoiler and can be equipped with various other accessories. The light sail attachment, the slick look and much more make the Alpi-Rod a real BEWE.

With a total weight of 14,5 – 16 kg, depending on the finish, this sit-down sled will change standards and expectations for long distance sleds.
