The Alpi 2 is a no-frills sled. It is built upon high quality carbon strengthened wood-laminated runners. It has just one side bar, enabling the sled to be folded for easy transportation. The weight is that of a sprint sled, however with the unbeatable load capacity of a long distance sled. The size of the sled allows for participation at stage and long distance races and the perfect steering qualities are not encumbered even when the sled is packed. The low center of gravity is determined by the three dimensional shaped polyethylene basket, which gives the Alpi 2 its distinctive design.

The racing successes of the Alpi 2 are innumerable, such as the renowned mushers who drove this sled to their victory; triumphs at all the big races in Norway, dominating the Grande Odyssée, victories at the Wyoming Stage Stop in Oregon or the Iditarod wins of Jeff King and Doug Swingley.

In 2010 and 2011 Sigrid Ekran won all her races and also the first Long Distance World Championship. 2014 the Finnmarksløpet 1000 again - all on an Alpi 2.
